I hope everyone had a lovely Christmas! I've been having a break from everything recently because it's been a rather long term I'm telling you, but it's good to be home.

After a week of basically sleeping and eating I thought I'd better do something worthwhile, so me and Dad went for a walk in the Lake District. It was freezing, snowy and rather beautiful, so I thought I'd share my photographs with you.

It's not until you move away that you can truly appreciate the little things about where you live, and living in Cumbria all my life has sort of made me forget how lucky I am to live in such a picturesque place in the country. It's nice to get away to do what you love and meet new people, but I'll always come back here.

Anyway, this is a bit of a random post to let you know I'm still alive, hope you enjoyed it anyway. I'll let the photographs talk for themselves.

Hello! Sorry I've been absent for a while (I say this like anyone cares) I would give the habitual 'I've had too much uni work to do' excuse but you won't believe me because I'm doing an art degree.

Anyway, there is a point to this post. A while back I did a workshop with an illustrator called Florence Shaw, the workshop was called 'Text as Image' and we experimented with making an illustration using text.

We then used this during our live, one-day brief where we made Christmas cards for Age UK Westminster. I'm pleased to say that my card was chosen to be produced into packs of cards by them! This is my first foot in the door in the industry so I'm really pleased! This is my design:
